Don’t Give Up The Farm,” is the much anticipated CD project from The Bob Smiley Band. Scheduled for release in the Fall of 2003, this album features new music written by Bob, Tom Saffell, Carl Caldwell Mel Besher and Andrew Hall.

Don’t Give Up The Farm,” features Tom Saffell on 5 & 8 string banjo, Marilyn Barclay on acoustic bass and Andrew Hall on resophonic guitar (dobro). It captures an energy that is spontaneous and dynamic.

The project is framed by the Mel Besher song, “A Little Bit Longer,” and the Bob Smiley title cut, “Don’t Give Up The Farm.” In these two songs, the subject leaves the farm at an early age and finally sets pride aside to return. In between, TBSB brings together songs that are full of emotion and spirit and take the listener on the musical journey.
The album is seasoned with performances by very special guests that include: Vassar Clements, Jamie Daily, Mike Scott, Carl Caldwell and Curtis Jones.
